KYB Verification Failed: How Businesses Can Prepare Better

Failed KYB verification means the provider could not complete its business assessment. The cause can be a corporate record problem, unclear ownership, inconsistent activity or policy eligibility.

Check the legal record Compare the name, identifier, address and current status with issued documents. Include evidence of recent changes. An old annual return may not explain a new owner without the intervening records.

Trace the ownership Show each corporate layer and the individuals ultimately controlling the company as required. Check that percentages reconcile and that the documents support the chart. A nominee does not remove required underlying owner disclosure.

Test the commercial story Read the website, contracts, invoices and application together. Can a reviewer identify what is sold, who the customers are and how delivery works? Explain genuine differences rather than changing the description to hide an unsupported activity.

Submit a correction package List the problem, correction and evidence. Clearly label forecasts, drafts and completed trade. Never manufacture invoices or contracts to make a new business appear established.

For a company rebranding after incorporation, supply the legal name relationship and relevant change documents. For a new startup, explain which commercial evidence exists and what is still planned.

If the issue is the provider's policy rather than missing evidence, seek a legitimate suitable alternative. Keep a consistent factual record across all applications so the solution does not create a new contradiction elsewhere.
